Alberta Health Services' ("AHS") mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans. It is responsible for delivering health services to the 3.5 million people living in Alberta.  It is one of the largest fully integrated, publicly funded health care systems in Canada.

Solution Overview

The AHS developed a Chronic Disease Management Information System ("CDMIS") that allows doctors and nurses access to patient care information from anywhere to provide on-site care. To address concerns on mobile security, the AHS uses Wedge's BeSecure to prevent unauthorized access to the network and keeps viruses, malware and adware from reaching mobile devices.
